The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

I'm not sure if this is the issue or not. But you said you were trying to program a f121s with no luck. But you were able to program a F121 and it worked. The software is different for these radios. Not sure if that is the problem you are having or if you just had a typo in your initial post.

The correct software for the f121/f221 is CS-F100

The correct software for the f121s/221s is CS-F100s

v1.7 is the latest for software cs-f100

I don't recall the latest software version for the "S" version radios

Most radio software is available on fleabay. Here is a link to one that I found with a quick search: http://cgi.ebay.com/ICOM-CS-F100S-S...72428?pt=2_Way_Radios_FRS&hash=item2eb3488ecc

Does anyone know if I can download Icom IC F100 v 1.7?

I found v 1.3 but when I try to write to the radio (f121) it says, "Update Software".

I got the software with the USB cable, but I lost the disk and don't want to buy the program again.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.3.3; en-us; DROIDX Build/4.5.1_57_DX5-35) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1)

Will your software program a FC221-1?

Hi Paul,

You need Software Rev 1.6 for F121S , 8 channel radio model.
The version you had is for F121, 128 channel model

Let me know if you need more help.
