Default Icom CY-5000 external controller

Hi guys. Anyone have a Icom CY5000 or CY6000 repeater using an external controller? I have a CY5000 and need to put a controller on it. I will be utilizing the 25 pin connector on the rear panel of the repeater.

What I need to know is: What pin is best suited for RX audio out? The manual shows pins 9 and 22.
Pin 9 specified as DISC OUT Output level: 300mV RMS."
Pin 22 is specified as simply "AF detector out"

What is better suited for the RX audio?

In the past, I have always used discriminator audio because it was handy. With this repeater it seems I have options.

Hello!

Analog mode = DISC OUT (I'm sure you can use AF out but "raw" audio is better IMHO).
Digital mode = AF detector out (don't forget to set the min AF out at least 1 in the programming software).
