Default Edgykatien Icom F50V

Yo Troops,
I am really getting an upbringing about this radio. It seems it originally must be promd by an Icom dealer and then later on in its life they say they cant help you. So they can sell a new higher dollar radio. I dont have the money to spend on high dollar sw or make mistakes buying the wrong sw. I can program Baofengs using CHIRP.Please tell me How and What sw to buy that is user friendly. I would
be eternally grateful.
Sarge

There is different firmware available for F50/60V which uses different CPS. Later models are loaded with F50VMM firmware and requires the MM software.

Default Thanks Guys,

I am trying to determine the age of the radio. Looking inside the battery compartment I see lots of numbers, Also a hand written message that says " Jet Blue ". Also a sticker that says " TSA U.S. Government Property and no I did not steal it. However, I see no " MM " letters anywhere.
Am I looking in the right place or am I gonna have to try and find this info online ? Thanks Again, Sarge

Default Well OK

I bought this radio from a dealer of surplus radios on EBAY. I have the invoice to prove it.
