What would be some popular(commonly used) VHF and UHF frequencies I could monitor? I live in Benton County and can recieve the Fire Dispatches from all the surrounding counties, so range is no big deal. Im just looking for other popular ones to listen to. Thanks everyone!

I currently have 04FDDISP, 04EMSDISP, 86FDDISP, 56FDDISP, 79FDDISP, 91FDDISP, State-Point, State-EMA, and IHERN. Are the Fireground frequencies for 86(Warren) and 91(White) counties still used? And is the 37FDDISP(Jasper Co FD) 154.14500 frequency still in use?

Might want to include each county's highway departments this time of year...

Kankakee Beaverville & Southern Railroad on 160.2150 Mhz.
Rail America on 161.4000 Mhz.

147.135 Mhz for the Tippecanoe County amateur radio repeater/Skywarn net for severe storm season.

Also, look into the counties west of you in Illinois - especially Iroquois and Vermilion.

Most all county agencies in District 14's area are on SAFE-T.

If you have a trunking scanner, recommend Tippecanoe County's 800Mhz system be monitored. Otterbein Fire utilizes this system and is paged out by Tippecanoe County.

You might also peruse all the FCC licenses for Benton County:

Enjoy!!!
