Anyone monitor this in the Des Moines area? Its the state patrol, but not sure what its for. State Captial complex? The dispatcher has a MDC1200 identifier along with the units. If you listen to the mobile extenders, you will sometimes hear the same traffic. Just trying to pin point its usage.

That is Capitol Police. Also simulcast on 453.625. And if you are close enough, try 453.0375, sounds like a wireless microphone, you can hear congress when in session.

Do any of the other frequencies listed under the license have any traffic?

The last time I monitored 453.250 it was used for paging. I think it is a repeater, so 458.250 would be its input. I didn't realize both 453/458.0375 were licensed as mobile only, so I haven't tried monitoring the 458 frequency. It's in my scanner now, though.

The 453.250 is a paging freq for the State of Iowa the Woodward Rescource Center use it for it Pagers. And its moble is 154.995.

A couple months old....

I heard 458.0375 being used a couple times, so they use both, just not at the same time and 453.0375 gets used more.
