159.4500? Anyone else hear this?

Been a while since I posted here. Just happened to have my 396XT outside with me and picked up 159.4500, I know this is a DNR freq. but not only did it come up P25 , but my radio also showed ENC. (encrypted, for those that dont have Unidens). It was garbled, and then silence with the ENC. holding on the screen-----happened several times. I am parked on it now. Can anyone confirm this, or tell me Im nuts? Mike

I don't know what part of Iowa you are in, as that might help, but I know I hear digital P25 on 159.4425 which is encrypted most of the time. Benton county is licensed for this, so it might be them. Depending on where you are at, it might be a strong enough signal for you to hear on 159.450. Can you hear it stronger on 159.4425?

I think you hit the nail on the head. I have DNR programmed in as a scan group. I wasnt in a search mode. So I would bet your right. I'm only 2 counties away from Benton (in Marshall) county. Have not had a chance to listen today. Thanks for the help! Mike
