AEP discussion thread

Hello Everyone

I monitor AEP around Clintwood Va.I programmed my Uniden 996XT with the freqs. from Radio Reference.There is no indication of the control channel but I can here the control channel.At my house everything works fine.But 2 miles away my scanner locks up on the control channel.Does anybody have any help on this.

Are they EDACS? I know in Ohio they were/are EDACS but seemingly moving to a p25 system. If it's one of those you can't just enter the Freqs.

And why post in the Ky section?

They are EDACS and just analog so far.

Looks like they're in the first stages of upgrading to P25.
