• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Hello

I am trying to connect my KAS-10 with KTI-3 with NX-710, I connected the KTI-3 with my repeater and gave it an IP, now i would like to use the KAS features with this, can any one help me on how doing this and what are the advantages of using KAS-10 with this interface, can i change the repeater channel or do any recording to the transmissions ?

Thanks in advance,

1) KTI-3, is the NXR-710 Version 2

2) KAS-10 is AVL and low budget Dispatching when hooked up to a NX-x00 (NX-700)

KAS-10 is not remote control for the NXR-710, it is only a dispatch and AVL program. NexeTALK is one of third party NXDN vendors where it can record conversations.

What is you primary goal, everyone has different goals, so myself nor MMcKenna can really give you
a true operating guide out of the cold blue.
I have played with it on the HAM NXDN network, as I can zing Icoms and kenwoods with it.. (in tests)
but for the most part, it's pretty cool for SDM and AVL, and stunning radios if your using it for SMR
reasons.

Hi kd4efm

Thanks for your reply,

1st of all, i would kindly request all the operations guide you have, anything for me is and added value,

My case is as follows
I have NX-710 in a site that has two zones, Analog and digital, currently working on digital mode however i could connect from my site to this repeater and change the zone to digital any time using KPG-129

My question is:
Can i record all conversation using KAS-10, or send messages to mobiles or stun/kill whatever ?

With regards,

No, KAS-10 is not a vocal program. If you have the dvsi3000, you could. Just not as straight forward as I wish it was.
