Can anyone identify TG 4880 on the Carroll Co. TS? I don't believe I've heard it before. It has been very active this afternoon. It sounds like they are on the scene of a fire or an electrical problem. It sounds more like DPW orkers than fire fighters. It isn't in the RR database.
Thanks

I have one for ya,

RR Database has TG 04432 as Hazmat Operations for Carroll Co. Fire Talkgroups, But......

Early this morning MSP Westminster was sent to the McDonald's in Eldersburg for a assault with a baseball bat. Trooper arriving on scene spotting suspect running into the night with bat in hand to never be seen again. The victim was transported to the hospital and then I hear " G-XX go to Ten Channel" and behold they came up on TG 04432. The conversation was about the McDonald's incident and then a Trooper was instructed to go to the hospital to question the victim.

What I have heard on this TG has allways sound more like PD Ops than FD Ops, So here is one you can play with.

Carroll County TalkGroups

There is no HazMat operations channel in Carroll County. Here is the list of TalkGroup ID's that I have in my scanner.

Main 1: 1616
1-0 (1st incident fireground): 1872
1-5 (2nd incident fireground): 2032
2-0 (3rd incident fireground): 2192
2-5 (4th incident fireground): 2352

*Note: There are tactical channels for each incident fireground. Usually for water supply operations. They are usually on 1-1, 1-6, 2-1, 2-6. I don't have those ID's. However, there is an "all-call" channel that broadcasts over all 4 tactical operations channels.

1st incident all call: 2000
2nd incident all call: 2160
3rd incident all call: 2320
4th incident all call: 2480

EMS Talk Groups:
TG 5: 1744
TG 6: 1776

TG 2 (Miscellaneous, Routine Service alarms): 1648

EMRC Call 1: 1680
EMRC Med 4 (804): 1712
EMRC Med 8 (808): 1840

I think Balto Dispatch can be heard from this group. I think their Main 1 is: 4176

TG 33 (Administrative channel, for people who like to hear themselves on the radio instead of using a cell phone): 2608.

Hope this helps

Carroll TG for Fire-Police

Currently the Fire Police are using a less expensive trunking radio with only a few talk groups. They have the TG which appears as 4880 to talk among themselves and they have Fire Main 1. Fire apparatus/portables DO NOT have this talk group so it does not have A TG # in the same way that other talk groups do....

Here's another one I just heard on Carroll Co, 4336. It was a policewomen calling her supervisor asking for advise on whether to charge an elderly lady for an infraction. ( his advice was not to)

I have been monitoring TG 4336 and it is a working TalkGroup ID for Carroll County. As of now I am not shure if it is Westminster City PD or Carroll Co. Sheriff because they both use 3 digit unit numbers. I will keep working on it.

Here is another one, I heard Westminster City PD say "GO TO 2" and they came up on TG 4304 Sykesville?

4304 is the Sykesville PD.
I was monitoring TG 4336 earlier in the week and came up with nothing. I'll put a radio back on it.

Yeah it took a long time before I got a hit on TG 4336 and I was about to give up on it. It is a PD Ops TAC or Car to Car and they are only on it for a short time, Thats makes it hard to pinpoint what agency it is. "A watched ID never activates"

I have TG 4304 as Sykesville PD and it too is not very active.

Carroll TG's

Here you guys:
4368 Hampstead PD
4432 Sykesville PD
4464 Taneytown PD
4400 Manchester PD

4304 Westminster City Tac-2
4336 Westminster City Tac-3

First 4 towns listed above are dispathed on MSP OPS but we elected to give each one of
them a talkgroup for local use (directing traffic/car-to-car/etc.) so they wouldn't tie up
MSP or the Sheriffs Tac channels.
