Testing of talkgroup patches into the I-TACs this AM, involving Harford & Balt Co 911 Centers. Didn't go so well and they were attempting to discern why. There was a reference to needing the patches ready for some sort of event in a few weeks. We shall see. Perhaps these freq will be pulled from the mothballs after all.....

Perhaps before the powers that be expect the ITac network to function correctly, there needs to be some education on the field users and dispatch center personnel on how the system works. Functions like "repeater enable", "direct (talkaround) mode", are pretty important knowledge bases to conquer before full functionality can be reached.

There shouldn't be a need for any 'patches' involving I-Tac anyhow. Every 800mHz radio in Baltimore and Harford counties should have all I-Tac channels, both the repeater and direct mode programmed into them. Not sure where the need for patching would come into play.
