Well, times have changed for me. My last scanner Bearcat 100 programmable channel, it was real easy to enter a freq. and start scanning.

I tried to enter Clare County police for a test, I get nothing ( ? )

What scanner do you have now? For programming tips try the board on here for its manufacturer (Radio Shack, Uniden, GRE).

I have it. I tried to program a basic channel for Clare County police. Nothing happens. This is started to get me irratated.

are you entering the right tower for you area?

are you entering it as trunked?

do you have the correct talkgroups for Clare County?

The Clare County Dispatch and MSP have completely moved over to the MPSCS which is all digital and monitorable.

Now I'm getting somewhere. Like I said, Im still trying to get out of old school.

Im sure after I do it 1x I should be OK.

1) Download Freescan
2) Import the MPSCS database
3) Upload to scanner.
