I'll be headed to Mackinaw and the U.P. in the near future. Specifically the St Ignace, Brimley, and the Sault Ste Marie areas. Other than TG's on MSPCS, any other frequencies of interest or special services I should know about, or look for?

Thanks

Soo Locks operations, common maritime stuff, CBP at the border crossing. (If CBP is not encrypted.)

I'll see if I can snag any freqs from the casinos while I'm there, maybe some Indian communications systems.

I believe the casinos are DMR.

Most fire is VHF. Use OES tower, Sault tower and McNearny fire tower in chippewa County. Soo tower and mcnearny tower are essentially the same known as 'main'. It's a voted talk-in system with different outputs at each site. Users have to select which one they want to hear depending where they are at the time. Tones are often sent over the 'main' network and OES.

SSM city uses their own VHF channel. There are often tones, no voice for initial dispatch.

All tribal police is on 17p911 with everyone else.

LSSU can be entertaining, but probably will be slow during summer.

There is a fair amount of wildland fire / dnr on MPSCS.
