It seems a lot of DMR systems in that area are using voice privacy. From Grand Rapids down to Kalamazoo and Battle Creek. Even in Jackson and Calhoun Co many can't be monitored. There's a Connect Plus system (Sys ID- 334) in your area that doesn't use privacy, but is it worth listening to? Not really.

Tele-Rad has expanded the use of enhanced privacy on their Capacity Plus system also. It used to be just EMS (AMR) was encrypted, now most other subscriber groups are too. This system covers Kent, Barry, and Allegan CO's. Maybe Ottawa too.

It seems that a few radio shops in MI are quick to check the privacy box, unfortunately. Oh well, signs of the times I guess.

You will still find DMR I the area that you can listen in on. The database is missing quite a bit of DMR users so don't go by that alone. There's probably quite a few I never caught and there's several I couldn't ID.
