I am interested in monitoring air traffic here in SW Missouri. I can sometimes see the B2's refueling above my location. Anyone in the area do any monitoring of these guys refueling? Or any air traffic for that matter?

I couldn't catch it exactly due to being busy with someone talking to me but it sounded like Turbo something callsign. They were practicing emergency separating routines with a tanker.

For the Air Refueling (AR) Map Tracks pop over to the Texas Forum and look under Texas Military Freq last page I think for example AR map as another resource along with excellent list as a couple prior post this thread...

I have heard AWACS / Norad on the east-west AR in Arkansas prior...monitor the KC FAA Center enroue freqs too...

You might hear refueling on 235.1 from your location, and aircraft calling ROCK OPS (Little Rock Air Force Base) on 349.4. Thanks for the other freqs! I see some new ones I need to try here in Northwest Arkansas.

I live in south central Missouri. I just ran mil air scan and got a hit on 288.300 mhz. Discussing altitude plane to plane. New frequency for me.

284.6750 is active right now. Full scale.

I hear the term "Razorback" while listening to air frequencies. Anyone

TURBO is the callsign for the 394th CTS flying T-38 Talons out of Whiteman.

TURBO## = 22nd ARW McConnell AFB KC135R
FAST## = 394th CTS Whiteman AFB T-38(A?)

For those of you in Kansas and Missouri wondering if YOU too could hear Milcom....the answer is YES if you use a decent outdoor antenna. There is a ton to hear around these parts. Best times to listen is 6am-10pm Mon-Thurs and then during the day on Friday. Will not hear nearly as much on Friday night through Sunday.
