In what context? It's not a brevity code that I recognize. It could be more of a descriptor, but without knowing how it's used, it's tough to say.

It sounds like maybe it could be a local term for a bad radio. Just guessing.

For some reason recall aviation "Bandbox" term but not sure..
Something about ATC term for collapsing sectors...

I literally don't have any further info. I had my back turned to the scanner, i heard one word "badbox", turned to hit manual, but it had skipped. Only thing known is that it was a milair freq, as that was all I had scanning.

I think you might be referring to Band box. This is the mill Air Operations Control Station from NL, Europe. Are you located in Europe?
