I notice we have a Canadian Snowbirds thread and some frequencies posted for the USAF Thunderbirds. With the upcoming 2018 Airshow season alproaching it would be nice to nail down some confirmed frequencies.

237.800 seems to be quite popular and a mainstay over the years.

Please feel free to post your info here. Looking forward to a great upcoming season!

Every year a mag called the Spectrum Monitor (around Mar-April timeframe) publishes a compendium of such frequencies, including the Blue Angels, Thunderbirds, Snowbirds and many others. The single issue cost is, I believe, USD3 - hardly a bank breaker there.

As for reported frequencies on this board, you can use the search tools to find what you're looking for. In addition there are any number of message boards where this data can be had. It just takes a bit of digging...Mike

Thanks for the tips Mike! I will have to check that out! i have done a fair amount of "digging" and research but always noce to have a dedicated thread for anything new or yet-to-be-posted frequency info.

We also have this in our database...

and in addition, we have some air show frequencies (which would list Blue Angels if they were heard, along with other pilots) in our Air Shows category in our wiki. Unfortunately not many folks use the wiki for recording these freqs; the more's the pity, since at least some of them repeat year after year, and it's a real easy way to create a standardized list for that event.

Blue Angel #7

Blue Angel #7 was in Abbotsford, B.C. yesterday and flew around before landing at the airport (CYXX) to a group of media and school aged children. The pilot then answered questions from the students and media before leaving. Apparently on a reconnaissance mission to check out the area for their upcoming show in August. The last time they flew here was 15 years ago! Unfortunately without any other Blue Angels to chat to he was only utilizing the CYXX UHF tower frequency of 295.000 MHz but hey...that's not something you hear everyday - Welcome to Canada! Can't wait for your show in August!!! :)
