"The F-15 aircraft will depart from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, the release said. "
Kinda curious, since there are normally two F15's on scramble at the old Homestead AFB all the time, partly because it is adjacent to a nuclear plant. Usually the ones responding to West Palm fly out of there. Maybe a minute further away, but they don't have to deal with a civilian traffic controller.
