I heard that Minneapolis ARS may be close to having a trunked system online in the VHF band. Would anyone in the Minneapolis area search around the federal band (162-174,380-390) and see if there is any sign of activity?

Many Thanks

What do you mean when you list "ARS"? Are you referring to the Minneapolis–Saint Paul Joint Air Reserve Station or something else?

New Federal Trunking Site

I have been searching the bands since this was posted. Today I found a new VHF trunking system I suspect is it. There are new RIDs which are probably the ARS. I also seen a talkgroup with suspected DOJ RIDs. Both encrypted and clear comms are used.

The signal is weaker than other fed freqs where I am located, but I am still getting a decent decode of the CC channel. There has been only four frequencies used so far today.

Site 1-100 (0x64) Minneapolis–Saint Paul Joint Air Reserve Station

My prior post is indeed for a new USAF "3D6" trunking system site. Here is a RR Wiki I found:

United States Air Force (3D6) Trunking System, Various, Multi-State - Scanner Frequencies

The busy TG on Saturday was 14000, though I monitored several 14xxx talkgroups since the site went into service. Last Wednesday I also noticed TG 356 with RIDs that are within reported DEA RIDs. TG 356 used a different AES-256 Key ID than what the 14xxx TGs used. Not sure what that ordeal was about, but there are some federal buildings adjacent to the Air Base on the north side of the airport.

I still need to spend more time monitoring and improving the received signal. It appears this site was intended to cover the airport area. I receive all the other airport comms just fine being located about 5 miles from it.
