911 PSAP Directory

After reading the article about Minnetonka going to Hennepin, I went looking for the 911 PSAP Directory. Many here may have seen this already, but it gives a nice way to see what PSAPs are operational around the state. The drop down lets you select by county.

Haven’t looked at that in a while- the State Patrol districts are interesting- I suspect they relate to call taker assignments- south goes to Rochester Dispatch and East Metro, West Metro, Northwest and Northeast go to Waters Edge with call takers/dispatchers covering multiple districts.

You are correct and this can be verified by looking at the contact info page: https://dps.mn.gov/divisions/msp/contact/Pages/district-index.aspx

Each of the districts that share MSP dispatch centers all reference the same regional comm center area code/prefix/block numbers.

Waters Edge Districts

2400 -1509
2500 -1511
2600 -1292
2700 -1455
2800 -1543
2900 -1415
3100 -1544
3200 -1341

2100,2200,2300 are South region
2400 Metro East
2500 Metro West
2600, 2900, 3200 are Northwest on the PSAP map and use -1292 in the PSAP directory,
2700, 2800, 3100 are Northeast on the PSAP map and all use -1455 in the PSAP directory.
