As far as I know they are still analog conventional. Have you loaded the most current listings and tones? May have changed tones? Check to be sure your attenuation is OFF. Make sure you receive OTHER things like NOAA, or surrounding areas analog stuff, just in case it is an scanner or user error.

Yes, it was already programmed. I checked the current listing and it's the same. Maybe it's an antenna issue, I doubt it though as I'm getting weather, public works etc. I have an old Uniden base scanner with a long antenna let me get it out tommorrow and run it awhile and see. I have had the handheld with signal stalker running since last night and have not heard anything from city police or sheriff. Maybe the methheads took a week off no clue but it's quite as a mouse walking across a cats tail.

Search the SO stuff with NO TONE as they could have changed the TONE in use!
I forgot to ask,... What scanner are you running?

I know this is a moot point, and probably waaaay outdated, but my father was the coroner for Jackson County for 15 years, and basically ran Amserv ambulance for who knows how long. The the switch when AMR bought it out. He had a southern linc with S. O. (through coroner's office), Amserv, and AMR. AMR lincs had nationwide talk groups with corporate and other locations along with private. It was the old Motorola (not sure which one) handheld portable with very basic phone capabilities. It had the little flip flap that covered the keypad.

Just a little bit of info some people may not have known. Things have probably changed since he retired in 95 with the death of my mother. That was back when Pete Pope was still sheriff. I think Mike Byrd was sheriff when he retired.
