Thank you I have a small indoor yagi that I had to tweak. And I had to give the scanner a little bit more time to search that system I'm scanning conventional and digital and a lot of times the scanner would blow right by the Eastern Jackson County p25 system. Now I'm with more dwell time on the Eastern Jackson County Tower, it catches a lot more calls.
The dwell setting rapidly becomes more important with each trunked system/site that you add to the RS/GRE/Whistler radios. The MORE time the radio spends watching a particular system's control channel, the LESS time it spends scanning or watching the other trunked systems.
