I have an XTS5000 without the trunking option.
So, in CPS, I did the following:
- added some talkgroups to the ASTRO Talkgroup List - 1
- added the voice channels in 7 different conventional personalities
- for each conventional personality, under the ASTRO tab, set Rx Unmute Rule to Selective Squelch
- for each conventional personality, under the ASTRO Talkgroup Options tab
--- enabled Talkgroup
--- Selection Type = Strapped
--- Talkgroup List 1
--- Set the Talkgroup ID to desired talkgroup
- Finally, set those 7 voice channels to a scan list.
For monitoring that single talkgroup, it seems to work fine.
If I want to monitor more than one talkgroup, it appears that I would have to re-enter those 7 voice channels into 7 more conventional personalities and assign the other talkgroup, and scan all of them.
Does anybody have a better way to monitor more than 1 talkgroup on an XTS without the trunking option?
