Default CDM1550 on an LTR network?

Would it be possible to use a CDM1550 to scan an LTR network? I am not really familiar with LTR or how it works so I figured I would ask and see if anyone with more experience knew. Does it work the same way as a P25 network where you can affiliate or does the radio not log into the system like other trunking systems?
Thanks

It says some sites are networked. So does that mean no go?

A scanner will monitor that. See here:

Scroll to LTR-Net.

CDM1550 depends on model. Not all did LTR.

LTR by design does not have subscribers affiliate. It would not be able to operate in its decentralized nature if they did.

Systems that have subscribers register (or login or affiliate) have dedicated control channels and the input side is where the subscriber affiliates.

Passport systems have the registration channel - and thatís kind of how it got itís name.

So how do I tell if it is Passport? The description says its a "hybrid" in the sense that it operates like an LTR system that uses Passport devices. Is this still operable? If the radio were to affiliate does the console have the ability to stun or kill the radio as P25 does? I might not even be able to get into this system but extra knowledge in the noggin doesn't hurt.

The LTR heartbeat sounds different with passport....... normal ltr has a heartbeat every on every frequency every 7-10 seconds (dont remember exactly how long). I think passport had a continuous transmitting control channel or a heartbeat every couple of seconds. Haven,t dealt with passport in 10 years or so........ TT
