• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

From what I am finding on a different forum error #1100 means the CPS is reading a codeplug that has been edited.

The code plug in question was edited to go into the 70cm ham band. I tried the original before it was edited and a sample code plug and get the same message.

Did you modify the codeplug or modify the CPS itself? If you modified the CPS that may be the issue.

Since you have an MOL account, you can call and they will walk you through troubleshooting the error. That is what you pay for. Support.

Anyone find the answer to this Error #1100 GNSS Issue?

I'm experiencing the same. On unmodified radios (as the earlier gentleman had an issue with a modified radio). Trying to check the GNSS box on some model radios, uncheck on other model radios. Error #1100 Application has encountered an error. Never had this before. I know there are bugs in all firmware and CPS, can this be one of them? Using CPS 16.0 here now. Which I know of some bugs, but not this one, if it is a bug.

I can confirm this has nothing to do with a modified code plug. I just updated an XPR4550 to R01.12.17. I did a recovery to completely erase the existing program. I read the 4550 and right when I uncheck the GNSS check box, I immediately get the 1100 error.

I'm using version 16.0 of CPS and R01.12.17 was the final firmware release for Gen 1 radios.

I'm puzzled but this is just for a temp one day use so I don't have the time to deal with /\/\.
