Entergy P25 TRS ALIVE!

Well at long last the P25 Phase 2 TRS for Entergy has come alive. We need extensive monitoring of all the known original Entergy TRS sites for the new P25 system transition!

Info needed: CC's, ACC's, WACN's, Site numbers, Site NAC's, TG's - Both Slots if you can ID them.

Now that the upgrades are complete, and the Phase 2 system is coming online, I am starting this thread for posting new discoveries regards the system. As always, any new sites, tg's etc you confirm, also submit them to the db. TY in advance!

I was able to talk to an Entergy guy in Sulphur, La. this weekend and he had his new mobile installed and working. He was on talkgroup 155 and that's all it said on his display. His radio is an APX4500 with a full display. I came home and have been scanning for active control channels other than the one I know and have came up empty. I've ran Unitrunker on the old system control channel and TGID 155 has never showed up. I've programed everything from the FCC website into my scanner and came up empty. They were definitely digital I presume P25 Phase II, but I'm not finding a thing. Is there anyone else in southwest Louisiana that can assist or give guidance? Thanks.

Hey Safety, any chance you could do an long time run on the site, and let it show all the active freqs, TG's etc? One full day should be enough logging to get a good idea on it. An weekday would probably be the best timing as that is the busiest time, other than during storms lol.

Entergy gave up its 900 MHz TRS long long ago, and now only operates on the 800 MHz system for trunking, and some UHF Ops.

Using SDR#, I was able to capture a waterfall and .mp3 audio from an ENTERGY site nearby. The frequency is 854.162.5 NFM 12000 BW.

If anyone needs it, let me know.

Just curious if there are any sites that are planned in the DFW area, this system appears on RR in my home county yet I have not seen any sites in the North Texas area. I am guessing the this system was blanketed by default for statewide?

I just noticed today that the Entergy tower in Forest, LA has changed site id to the P25 system. It's now site 2-34 with the same control channel.

OK, so far we know Zone 1 is all of AR. Zone 2 thus far covers portions of LA, and at least one site in Central MS.

Much more monitoring is needed so we can see just how far along the system is, and we can start deprecating the analog Smart Zone completely.

Hello all I just upgraded to a new scanner and while working through the learning curve I've been monitoring Entergy. Just on the fringe of LR site 49 and site 50 with my inside antenna. Not sure where site 50 is located. I can hear site 47 on 855.5625. It's not listed in the DB but will submit.
TGID's
423 AR Central stations calling control and DOC on this tg
450 DOC
462 Mobile Data?
189 Wharehouse or distribution
456 unidentified ops talking about pulling wire
481 possible Stuttgart area?
475 ?
477 possible Searcy area?
1 couple guys talking referring to it as talk group 1
408 Radio Tech was testing and rotating all channels on Yellville site 60
