Hello. Douglas County Dispatch is debuting a new radio system over the next 6 months. It'll be narrow banded conventional for fire and possibly 400 or 800 trunked for Sheriff. The powers that be seem to be trying hard to keep the pertinent info close to the vest and don't want to reveal what exactly the new frequencies are (or the names of them). I'm wondering if anyone out there might have this info and be willing to share. Also, if you're in the area and search for freqs to keep an eye out for new and newly narrow banded frequencies and try and put a name to a frequency.

Thank you.

Those show up as DCSO main jail. Some possibles I'm trying to ID are 153.8225, 155.7900, 159.4725, 173.2625

I'm looking for two channels in particular if you hear them mentioned... East Fork Fire tacs Orange and Silver You can hear them mentioned from time to time on EFK main when they test the system. Units are using them now for day to day training but they aren't 'official' tac channels yet until the new system debuts.

The lists very long 3 pages of updates.
Give me your e-mail address and i can send it to you, very well put together latest radio service tests including fine tuning the SVR mobile repeater system that is having issues with DCS and CTCSS tones conflicting and put in park to activate, jail has moved from 155.1300 167.9 to 155.7900 114.8 confirmed

Awesome Bill!

Orange and silver are new East Fork Tac channels. Listen on EFK main for a unit doing training and you will mostly hear them assign Silver for a training channel. Then would be a good time to find the freq.

I'll be emailing you shortly.

Thanks!

What have you been able to acertain as far as Douglas Co system, Is it a Multicast vote scan or
are they manually changing channel's depending what area they are in? I havnt been able to determine
that from anything ive heard so far.
Heard testing on N-LEMA today 155.6550 csq 11-22-2010

They are manually selected regional channels. DCSO live with the new system as follows: Valley (the main one), N/S which I assume is a combination of the North and south sites, and the old talk around

I saw a handheld with the testing frequencies in a bank and this is what I found: (sadly names only as I couldn't access the frequencies)

East Fork is testing a similar setup which is the old local, & new Central, North, and South as separate channels though it seems likely that North and South will be combined like DCSO once it goes live.

Tahoe Douglas's testing lineup is Stateline, Glenbrook, and 'Station 12' I'm guessing EFK station 12 is the site of the north repeater.

Tactical channels I saw were orange & silver which we know about and green & blue which I know nothing about (possible TD and DCSO tacs)

North South is 154.8900 (I heard dispatch tell all units to switch to North South when they were replacing
or upgrading 154.7400) did not work well at the lake.

I am very familiar with names of channels so toss them my way and let me see if anything rings a bell.

Here is what i know.

DCSO
154.7400/118.8 Primary or East Peak
154.8900/162.2 Glenbrook

151.0475 i think SVR is no longer used, but freq is still licensed.

Douglas County Public Works (Snowplows) i saw several of them tuesday and they used to talk simplex on 155.1150 during storms but not any longer, their PW repeater is still up (155.1150/100.0)OUTPUT
(155.8050/100.0)INPUT but DCSO is using those. Where did they go? Heard comms tuesday on 462.5750/118.8 simplex that sounded like plow drivers in Douglas County talking about Jobs at NDOT & DCPW.
But that couldnt be that is a GMRS Freq but these were Mobile Radios w/high power output.?

Douglas County Radio System"The story continues"

If i left something out, memory failure.

Continuing to search Low,High Vhf,Uhf,800 & Whatever else i can discover.
