Although some of you may have already seen this, I thought I'd post this link to an article from Harris where they declare the overwhelming success of the OS system here in Vegas.

Wow! What a surprise! To think I and others thought this was a flawed system. Boy, were we wrong!
I particularly enjoy this quote:
"OpenSky has not only delivered enhanced voice quality
throughout the metro area, but the new
system and its VIDA backbone has also
given the department the flexibility and
capacity to organize and synchronize
response efforts with other local agencies.
While placing bets and taking risks is
commonplace in Las Vegas, the LVMPD
simply can’t gamble with its radio system,
and with the successful implementation
of OpenSky, it doesn’t have to."
