I have a psr500 and last time I went to Vegas in 2010 I tried to monitor the fire departments. I did the firmware update but I didn't seem to be picking up many transmissions. Is there anything else special I need to do to program it? Maybe custom tables or anything like that?

Hello CoolRich55,

Nothing special needed other then the info on the radio reference database.

Just a word of advice, program in the frequencies from SITE 012 (C) North Las Vegas Simulcast.

That will give you the best valley wide coverage.

Ok thanks, although from some research I've been doing it seems as though custom tables are needed for that system. I'll try it without them though when I get there.
