Hi Folks during high fire periods is there a way to cut the PD down? They seem to take over the scanner. There is no way to cut one or the other speaker to just here the wildland fire! Thanks,

Are you listening via live-feed/Broadcastify, or are you using your own scanner?
  • If you are listening to a feed/Broadcastify, then it depends on how the provider has it set-up. If they have a single scanner scanning FD and PD, then no, separate volume levels are not possible, (as far as I know).

If they are running a split-feed, then you might be able to adjust the left-right balance on your computer speakers to emphasize one over the other. (But on the provider's end, the volume levels will stay consistent, even though they are split left-right.)

  • If you are listening to your own scanner, then just like a feed provider with only one scanner, the answer would be no (as far as I know).

If you are asking about a live-feed/Broadcastify, then you might get better response by asking for this thread to be moved to the live-feed forum. (Be sure not to double-post in the other forum.)

Hope this helps,
