There's an intermittent beep heard on the live traffic. Anyone able to advise on what that is? Its occasionally heard and it isn't before or after any specific transmission.

Typically , tones are transmitted at certain intervals to let units know to hold traffic for emergencies only.

Hot tone. It lets units that aren't on a emergency call know that the channel is being held for those units that are on that emergency call only.

As noted, it's an alert tone so that anyone on the system that changes to that talkgroup can discover pretty quickly that it's in an alert/emergency mode and only the most necessary comms should be made when necessary.
