This weekend NHP will be very busy handling traffic problems around the LV Motor Speedway as the race activities begin today (Friday) and go thru Sunday. Look for most of their activity to be heard on talkgroup ID 05-127 also known as LV 4.

Metro Special Channels?

Do you know if Metro is using any special channels for the event this weekend? I'm volunteering again this year and last year there were quite a lot of Metro officers working the event.

*EDIT* Sounds like tactical channel 2 is being used for ops in and around the speedway.

I would also monitor the LVMPD Traffic Channel 155.460, simplex if you are somewhat close or live on the side of Sunrise Mtn. They sometimes get rather informal. The current edition of the local scanner book also contains frequencies used by the Speedway itself for in-house operations and some of them are repeaters that can be heard as far south as Henderson depending upon where you are monitoring.
