Many people remember the Laughlin River Run from 2002 which resulted in a shootout involving motorcycle gangs at a casino and a host of other problems. Well, it's time for a repeat of the event once again, hopefully without any violence but with some interesting radio monitoring. For those that might be near the event the following should be monitored.
LVMPD C-15 158.850 Laughlin Resident Channel
LVMPD C-14 159.090 Laughlin Car-To-Car
LVMPD C-13 159.150 Laughlin Dispatch

NHP 05-124 LV 3 Usually used for rural traffic
NHP 05-130 Car-To-Car 3

The NHP channels work well with the Oatman Mtn. site for that area and often these talkgroups will be simulcasted with sites in the LV valley making it easy to monitor especially LV 3.

Another Channel For Laughlin Area

Although this is unconfirmed at the moment, it seems that the Las Vegas Metro PD has an additional channel used in the Laughlin area and it is identified as "South Central Bullhead City" which suggests that the repeater output is 159.180 MHz.

Oatman Mtn NSRS Site

I can't find the freqs on the RR Databse for Oatman Mtn! The site named Laughlin is actually the public safety portion of Christmas Tree Pass in the Southern Nevada Radio Guide. I will be in Laughlin on May 6 right after the Route 66 Fun Run in AZ and wanted to monitor either Xmas Tree or Oatman but cant find the Oatman LCN. Help!

Oatman is actually in Arizona east of the Bullhead City/Laughlin area and is a great site for radio coverage for that particular area and points eastward. The RR d/b is far from complete and does contain numerous errors. Nothing is perfect.

Oatman NSRS

The freqs. and proper LCN order are listed in the 6th ed. of the Southern NV Radio Scanner Book on page 28. I have monitored it and found it to be correct. Public safety and non-public safety are mixed together on this site (Oatman), unlike some other sites that the NSRS uses. It would have been nice if NV had gone Motorola but the decision was partially political.

NHP in Laughlin

NHP Car-to-Car 3 05-130 is very active in the Laughin area for those wanting to hear some interesting conversations. They do get somewhat informal at times.
