I understand that an outfit called Pulse Medical Transportation now has the contract for emergency medical service within the City. Does anyone have any information re: the radio system(s) they may be using? Who dispatches them? Over what channels/frequencies? Etc.? My records show, over time, that TriState, followed by EVMTS, then MonOc, provided EMS within Orange. Did Pulse take over any of their legacy systems or are they using their own?

Also, is PMT providing both basic life support and advanced life support services? I see from the fire department's website that they run EMS calls. I'm presuming on a first responder level only.

Pulse provides BLS services to the city of Orange. They are dispatched now by REMCS. Their identifiers are "801" and "802." ALS coverage for Orange is provided via University Hospital EMS. Often times you will hear REMCS calling 801 and 22** for jobs.
