Exclamation MONOC - DB House cleaning - Depreciated Freqs

Guys - NJ Members.

DB Admin in the near future will be doing some DB "house cleaning" of "depreciated" frequencies state wide. We need your help to determine if these frequencies are still in use, especially if it is known the frequencies are used as "local" and / or as "backup" to the various Trunk system(s) the agency now operates on. We want to make sure before the cleanup starts and not to remove "active", though rarely or intermediately used frequencies.

One Example:
MONOC EMS has transitioned over to the New Jersey Interoperability Communications System. All MONOC UHF frequencies are now depreciated and unused.

Thank you in advance.

I think it's "deprecated," not "depreciated."

To start, Kinnelon 46.42, 46.06, 37.2, and 37.32 can all be deleted. Kinnelon no longer has low band antennas on their police cars, and I think it's safe to say that the only time FD would use 46.42 would be for talking to Butler or Boonton.

The Montville Public Works 45.32 can also be scrapped. I've never seen any of their vehicles carrying lowband antennas.

Default MONOC - DB House cleaning - Depreciated Freqs

For Ringwood,

Please get rid of the low band PD-37.16.

They donít have low band antennas/radios in the cars anymore. Only VHF-high.

Fire/EMS VHF are active and correct. Will find out about EMS-Tac(low band), Iíve never heard that used.

Wanaque is good. Will look to add their DPW, which is lowband. The new DPW trucks have lowband.

As per my thread here (https://forums.radioreference.com/ne...ll-active.html) Gloucester County UHF frequencies appear to still be active for talk around use.

Arrow DB "house cleaning" of "depreciated" frequencies state wide.

Clarification;

Currently NJ DB Admin is looking to only update and or remove currently listed (tagged) frequencies/channels in the DB as "depreciated".

Those frequencies and channels members who are requesting to be tagged as "depreciated" via this forum thread should instead make a regular submission to DB admin stating the reason for the request/submission.

Thankyou,

We often make the fatal mistake by deleting frequencies that are still in use, too many to
count so I am not even going to start naming them, many agencies still have there the older
systems in place to fall back on in some cases so my advice is if those of us serious
in scanning in your scanners, DON'T DELETE ANYTHING unless you know as fact
its not in use and repeaters and radios have been removed.

Started the clean up process for MONOC EMS in Ocean and Monmouth Counties.
For nostalgic and reference purposes, here is a list of their "old" UHF frequencies that were marked "depreciated".

451.47500 WQCN572 RM 210.7 PL MONOC N MONOC North
502.08750 WPLV291 M 412 DPL MONOC T 1 MONOC Tac 1 (UHF)
501.38750 WPLV291 M 412 DPL MONOC T 2 MONOC Tac 2 (UHF)
462.97500 KSO655 RM 173.8 PL MONOC NE Tac 2 MONOC North East Tac 2
462.95000 WNRW253 RM 210.7 PL M0NOC Med 9 MONOC Med 9 Dispatch
462.97500 WQAT443 RM 210.7 PL MONOC MED 10 MOMOC MED 10 Simil of Med 9
461.80000 WQCN562 RM 210.7 PL MONOC MED 11 MONOC MED 11 S Ocean Co,
462.96250 WQAT443 RM 210.7 PL MedEvc 2 MONOC Helio Ops

Now, if MONOC EMS activity is indeed again monitored on these channels, please make a DB submission and DB admin will gladly add them back in to the DB.

Thank you,
