We live here in Santa Fe close to the end of the the old trail, every now and then we get some aircraft that from the sound of the blast are like jet fighters like f15, f16, they sound like they just took off or maybe making a pass, can't see them only hear them, would these be out out of Kirtland? If so what frequencies should I be monitoring on VHF, UHF? I have a milair capable scanner.
Thanks

If they are in a low level training route, they will monitor 255.4, and you may hear them talk with Flight Service. (FSS). The Albuquerque ARTCC freqs in that area are 132.8 and 346.35. You may hear them entering or exiting the route on those freqs.

Military aircraft can land at the Santa Fe Airport for a fuel stop, maybe you are hearing them when they leave the Area.

Or they might just be low level aircraft flying through the area.
