Hello,

Just recieved my BC72XLT and have great scanning so far.
I'm having trouble putting in frequencies that are longer than 6 numbers.
i.e. I'd really like to put in CALSTAR (867.53750)

Is my scanner not capable of these frequencies?

Thanks for any help.

Hi and Welcome to RadioReference.

It would seem that your scanner is not capable of 800mHz frequencies. Therefore, you would not be able to receive that frequency.

According to the RR Wiki on the BC72XLT the only frequencies that this scanner can accept are in the ranges of 25-54 MHz, 108-174 MHz, and 406-512 MHz. All of these are far below the 800 MHz you are talking about. That 867.53750 MHz frequency would probably be part of a trunked system anyway and the BC72 is not a trunking scanner.

This is probably all explained in your Owner's Manual.
