Sorry but I didn't see an appropriate forum for this question.

As I mentioned in my first post about scanner recommendations, I am an ex-fire guy and the local feed for one of my counties is a blended one with cops stomping all over fire. When the hills are burning, I need to hear the fire folks as some of my friends and neighbors turn to me for info and advise. I'm getting a replacement scanner (my old BC560 is toast) and I'd like to start a local feed of where Cal Fire has the priority. I have not the slightest clue where/how to start (except with a scanner, a good antennae and a pc). Any advice, suggestions, feedback, criticism is greatly appreciated.

This page seems to have a lot of info on becoming a feed provider. There is an application process you have to go through. If you click on your user name, it will take you to your account. Click on Feeds and there is a place at the bottom to apply to broadcast a feed.

It seems like you have most of the equipment needed to do it.
