This will probably be moved to the Motorola forum. If you are wanting to put a 800 TRS into it, though it can be done, if you want to keep it legal, you would need to have the agencies you want to program it. There is a 99.99% chance they will not do it unless you have a valid reason why you should have it. Scanner is cheaper, doesn't get bricked and you won't have all the SAPS (Self Appointed Police & Sheriff's) on RR flaming you.

Have no experience with this radio, or why it would be required as not stated in the OP. And if people would not intentionally try to use radios illegally, there would be no need for the radio police.
