I am a newbie. I just bought a Uniden BCD536HP. I cannot pick up any Police/Sheriff (which is why I got the thing). I am using the supplied antenna and I live in Woodbury. Is the antenna the issue and if so what should I get.

Have you enabled all the Service Types for those things you are interested in monitoring? If not, that is the issue.

Also confirm you have entered the correct zip code and set your range to 10.0. You can "dial down" the range later after you see the scanner is working to a range that better suits your preferences.

Most likely the factory supplied antenna will be just fine. The Minnesota ARMER system has pretty solid coverage in your area.
