Getting Started

Hello all,

I live in NYC and would like to buy a scanner that will work for the NYPD. I find conflicting info when I google it and figured someone here can hopefully point me in the right direction. I don't really need to get the best just something to start with.

Try posting your question in the New York group, I am sure there will be plenty of people who can offer expert guidance there. Good luck and welcome to the hobby

Please don't advise people to post the same question in multiple forums as that is against the RR rules.

The proper way would be to "Report" the post and asked to have it moved.

With that being said, I see the OP did post the same question in the New York forum. Since he/she is new I'll close this one and approve the New York post.
