UBC75XLT Software

Just bought a new UBC75XLT, downloaded the software and drivers, followed the install instructions on to my Windows 10 laptop. Input some frequencies to write to scanner and get this message

BC75XLT SS
Writing to scanner failed.
This scanner model is not supported (UBC75XLT)

What have I done wrong?

Sounds like the software is set up for the US model (BC75XLT) and not the Euro model (UBC75XLT).

Butel sells programming software that properly supports the band plans in the UBC75XLT scanner.

Sounds like the software is set up for the US model (BC75XLT) and not the Euro model (UBC75XLT).

Is there a way to change it as it only gives me a choice of USA or Canada

Probably not; the bandplans in the US and Canadian versions are different. You've already been given one option; the other is to search the Uniden website for the UBC75XLT; if you find that, you should be able to find the drivers and correct software.

That being said, the Uniden software is usually pretty basic. The BuTel offerings usually have more features and can do more. YMMV, of course
