Newbe-Ocean cruise- how to find frequencies

Hi,

I recently purchased a BCD436 and am a little over my head. My family and I are planning a cruise in the next week and I was trying to figure out how to search for frequencies while on the ship and in port. I have purchased the dmr upgrade as I had heard some of the ships including celebrity are using these frequencies. also marine frequencies do not show up under service types.

I would really appreciate some guidance, the manual is a little hard to figure out. Since I'll be in a overseas port I wasn't sure what to do for the location and was confused on using close call versus discovery.

Check with the cruise line to see if the scanner is permissible. With most, it's not.
