Hello all -

First off, I'd like to say thank you for this wonderful resource. I became a premium member to show support. I am new to the world of radios. I've been doing a lot of research to catch up and was issued my GMRS license today!

My question is probably (and hopefully) simple to most, but I am still confused about a few things...

In Chirp, how would I program a repeater with the following settings:

Frequency 462.725+
Input 467.725
PL Tone 263

A link to the repeater info is here: http://www.artscipub.com/repeaters/...information_on_462.725_in_Ingleside,_Illinois

I am still unsure of DPL, PL, CTCSS and all the other tone codes. Thanks for all your help.

In CHIRP..

The RX frequency is the repeater output (Enter 462.725) That's what you want to listen to.
The TX frequency is the repeater input (Enter 467.725) That's where you want to transmit.

DPL (Digital Private Line) is is what Motorola calls the generic DCS (Digital Coded Squelch). Put 263 in the CTC/DCS Enc and Dec columns...

Should work :)
