"UTICA, NY - The UPD Metro SWAT unit executed a search warrant at 1645 Howard Ave. before eight this morning. The search warrant was related to an investigation into the sale of narcotics.
According to reports, while searching the location, officers were confronted by a pitbull who charged at them. An officer fired and struck the dog.
The suspect sustained a minor injury to his foot after being struck by a fragment. He was treated and released from a local hospital."
