Hi ,

This Saturday (7/8/2011) I will be spending the day in Orange County NY and watching the Port Jervis Fire Dept. Parade. I would like some advice on which frequencies to add to my scanner to listen to the FD's in the area including Pike County Pa. I searched the Database here on RR and found so many I just don't know which ones are the best. Thank You in advance.

Orange County Fire Dispatch: 154.205 (123.0 PL)
Orange County Fire Low Band Ops: 46.16 (123.0 PL)
Port Jervis FD Low Band Ops: 46.20 (123.0 PL)

Port Jervis PD: 158.8425 (606 DPL)

Orange County EMS Dispatch: 157.450 (136.5 PL)
Orange County EMS Ops: 153.860 (77.0 PL)

Pike County Fire Dispatch: 154.445 (173.8 PL)
Pike County Fireground: 153.950 (173.8 PL)
Pike County Fire Low Band: 46.18 (CSQ) (sometimes used, you'll probably pick up Rockland also)

Matamoras FD Ops: 154.235 (173.8 PL)
Westfall FD Ops: 154.370 (173.8 PL)

Pike County EMS Dispatch/Ops: 155.265 (173.8 PL)

Eastern Pike Regional PD (Matamoras and Westfall): 155.625 (162.2 PL)

That should be enough to get you started, depending on what else you'd be interested in listening to (NYSP for example). I'm not 100% certain if Port Jervis FD is utilizing the new Orange County UHF Fireground frequencies yet, but those can be found in the database. I believe they'd be operating under the "City" frequencies. There may be activity on other frequencies related to parade chatter.
