Does anyone know what's up with the subway frequencies for daily train operations? I programmed the VHF frequencies that are listed here on RR and I am not hearing anything. Have they changed frequencies? Or PL tones?

The only one I hear in S.I. is 161.56500 IND Subway. Barely. Mention of Broad Channel and A train.

Unless you are underground you are not going to hear anything since they transmit along a radiating cable. The system hasn't changed that I know of in over 20 years, there are about 110 base stations located throughout the system. If the console operator selects an above ground station you should hear that. The transmitters only put out about 20 watts to a unity gain or in some cases Yagi antenna's located along the right of way.
