I live in Kingston n.y. and can not pick up Kingston police or fire with homepatrol. looked at data base for them and it says 801 06-041 A KingstonDisp Dispatch Deprecated

Deprecated means no longer current but being retained in the database for historical reference.

Dave is correct. The Deprecated tag is used to indicate a frequency or talkgroup that is no longer in use.

HOWEVER, the bigger point here is that those talkgroups should never have been flagged as Deprecated! There was an error in processing a submission back in October of 2010. The submission was supposed to indicate that the old Ellenville and Kingston standalone EDACS sites were absorbed into the NYCOMCO system, however that incorrectly translated into the talkgroups being deprecated.

How the hell no one noticed it until just now is beyond me. I've restored all the talkgroups to active status, so if you're using a HomePatrol they should be restored to normal for next Monday's update.
