With this post I'm hoping someone from NYCOMCO sees this. For the past couple of weeks I have been listening on the Beacon tower, pretty frequently there is heavy static on wide area talkgroups when the subscriber radio is transmitting on another tower. Some transmissions are clear, and then some have heavy static on them. I've noticed this on DC911 Police 1 link, City and Town of Poughkeepsie main patrol channels, DCSO. I do not notice this when the subscriber radio is transmitting to the Beacon tower. Only on wide area talkgroups when the subscriber radio is on a different tower. It sounds like they might have a wide area card going bad. I can see the Beacon Tower from the window at work. I am noticing this on my RS Pro-197 and GE Orion.
