CDTA Phase II Trunking

CDTA has begun moving voice traffic onto its 800 MHz P25 Phase II trunked system (8FA). Traffic is still sparse and getting details will take some time. I have tentatively identified one talkgroup and several RIDs.

I will follow this with 2 screenshots. The first just shows what one of the sites looks like to DSDPlus after some voice traffic. The second shows a phenomenon I have not seen before.

The second screenshot looks to be an FDMA data call. Where do you see ENC?

Italics usually indicate encryption, at least on voice calls.

Except that it's not a voice call, otherwise it would appear in the event log as a group call. Further, the system voice is TDMA as indicated by the other group calls, and so if it were an encrypted voice call, it wouldn't have been FDMA (as indicated by the FDMA channel number being italicized).

Dark blue italicized locked out calls in DSD+ indicate data.

Confirmed voice between base and transports on OP25 raspberry pi.

Finally able to test a phase 2 locally

TGID 5 appears to be Schenectady (905 Line) buses.
