Hey everyone,

I'm headed out to ECU this weekend and I was wondering if anyone had tips/ideas/scanner files that could help me out (I've got a PRO 97 & BCD396XT). I plan on just loading out the basic outline of what's in the database, plus VIPER, but if anyone has input on what I definitely should listen to or should avoid spending time programming, it would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I was down there last weekend Here is what I found out.

All law enforcement in Pitt County is on the Viper System.

Greenville Fire is on the Viper System

County fire is still on VHF 154.355 Mhz. They have a Viper talkgroup, but I never heard anything across it.

County Ems is still on VHF 155.160 Mhz. Some agencies have the capability to communicate on Viper after dispatch.

Greenvelle M/A on Viper was active as well.

Both EastCare Air and Ground Transport units use Viper for communications

I would say it is a good idea to have a Viper Scanner and a regular scanner to monitor Pitt County

Hope this helps

Thanks David, that was exactly what I was looking for. Programming was easy, VIPER on my 396XT & conventional on my PRO97, so that was an excellent suggestion.

Thanks again!
